Erlinda M Gordon, MD

President

Dr. Gordon received the degree of Doctor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines, and underwent a pediatric residency and hematology-oncology fellowship training at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland OH. From 1980-89, Dr. Gordon served as Associate Professor of Pediatrics at CWRU and Director of the Comprehensive Hemophilia Center at the University Hospitals of Cleveland/Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital, Cleveland OH. In 1989, she was recruited to the USC Keck School of Medicine and over 24 years, held a number of key positions: Associate Professor of Pediatrics with tenure, Director of the Red Cell Defects Program/Scientific Director of the Comprehensive Hemophilia Center at Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles, and Medical Director of the Vector Production Unit/Director of Molecular Therapeutics/Gene Therapy Laboratories at Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. At USC, Dr. Gordon licensed the first academic vector production unit in the world in 1994. Currently Dr. Gordon is the Director of Biological and Immunological Therapies at the Cancer Center of Southern California, Santa Monica CA.

Dr. Gordon is founder of three biotechnology companies: Epeius Biotechnologies Corporation, where she served as Chief Medical Officer and FDA liaison and gene therapy sponsor from 2000-2011; Counterpoint Biomedica LLC; and Delta Next-Gen LLC, where she currently serves as a Managing Partner.

Dr. Gordon is recognized for her original research and extensive publication history in the field of gene therapy. She was recipient of a Research Career Development Award from the NIH, and an Award for Excellence in Biotechnology from the City of Los Angeles, CA in 2005. She is co-inventor of over 200 patents and author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications. In 2016, Dr. Gordon received the Thomas Award for Excellence in Medical Research.

Lance S Ostendorf

Vice Chair

Mr. Lance S. Ostendorf is a founder of Ostendorf, Tate, Barnett LLP. Mr. Ostendorf has a general litigation and civil law practice including personal injury law, transportation law, Hotel and Motel Liability law, Retail and Merchant law, entertainment law, intellectual property, and general civil litigation.

Mr. Ostendorf has more than 35 years of experience. Over the course of his career, he has successfully represented a diverse range of clients including individuals and businesses. Additionally, he has authored law review articles appearing in various law reviews and publications.

In recognition of his contributions to the legal profession, Mr. Ostendorf has received various honors and awards and developed a reputation as a respected attorney. The peer review organization of Martindale-Hubbell awarded him an AV Preeminent* Lawyer rating consistently over the years and Martindale Hubbell has awarded him the life-time achievement award this year and has listed him as a Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who In America.

She has over 18 years of Consumer Packaged Goods experience in the area of sales and marketing for health and wellness supplements and food and beverage brands, with extensive background in new product development and launch; market research and analysis; and brand building through product renovation, innovation, and effective consumer, shopper, and digital marketing. She holds a BA in Psychology with a focus in Research Methods from CSU Long Beach in California.
